From the moment we walked in, the staff were so lovely and reassuring. Very caring Absolutely thrilled with the care my kitten received at MM Leggett. They took the time to explain the spaying procedure, answering all of my questions and making me feel at ease. The surgery went smoothly, and I could tell my kitten was in good hands. The staff were incredibly professional and attentive, ensuring that my fur baby was comfortable throughout the process. The follow-up care information provided was detailed and clear, which gave me peace of mind as I took my kitten home. I also appreciated how the clinic emphasised post-operative care, I rang today checking to see what her weight was as I forgot to ask and they asked how my kitten was doing and if I was happy with how she was doing. It’s clear that they genuinely care about their patients and their owners. I highly recommend MM Leggett to anyone looking for compassionate and skilled veterinary services. Caring for animals is at the heart of everything we do. From pets to horses and livestock, our dedicated team offers trusted, tailored veterinary care backed by experience, integrity, and genuine compassion – all from an independent practice that puts your animals first.

Our team

Maggie started the practice in 1988. She has many years experience as a veterinary surgeon in farm, equine, and small animal work. She is particularly interested in cattle medicine, but loves all aspects of her work. She is passionate about the role of small independent practices in caring for today’s animal population.

Maggie LeggettVeterinary Surgeon

Becky is the practice’s head nurse. She qualified as an RVN in 2004 and joined the practice in October 2004, and apart from her nursing role she is involved in managing the practice. Outside of work, she enjoys walking her dogs.

Rebecca AllridgeHead Veterinary Nurse

Tania joined the practice in 2012, working part time. The rest of her working life is as a ranger at a local country park. In her spare time she enjoys theatre, film, and walking her dogs.

Sarah qualified as an RVN in 2005, and completed her advanced small animal nursing diploma in 2018. She has a special interest in exotics, and especially enjoys working with rabbits.

Beth joined the practice in 2014 and qualified as an RVN in 2017. She is from a farming background, and is involved in the farm side of the practice.

Nikki joined the practice in 2007, and has many years experience in reception and animal care. When she is not at work, she Is usually found around horses and enjoys walking her dogs.

Nikki RichardsonAnimal Care Assistant

Initially from a financial services background, Debbie has always had a keen interest in animals originally owning German Shepherd dogs, but now has two cats. She joined the practice in 2016, and is really enjoying the career change.
